# Branding & Messaging

> Set the language, look, and wording people see in the Velatir browser extension and agent notifications.

## Where to Find It

Go to **Settings → Browser extension**. Everything on this tab is saved together with **Save changes** at the top of the page.

| Card | What it controls | Available on |
| - | - | - |
| **Localisation** | The language of agent messaging | Every plan |
| **Extension and messaging appearance** | Your logo and colours | Enterprise plan |
| **Custom messaging** | The wording in the extension window | Enterprise plan |
| **Notification links** | Links in the footer of every notification | Every plan |

<Note>
  Appearance and custom messaging need **version 1.15.1** or later of the Velatir browser extension. Older versions keep the default Velatir look and wording.
</Note>

## Localisation

Choose one language for agent messaging across the organisation, or choose **User default** to follow each person's browser or operating system language. If that language is not supported, messages fall back to English.

You can override the language for a single workspace on the workspace page.

## Appearance

Show your organisation's logo and colours on agent notifications, the extension window, and the block page.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Upload a logo" icon="image">
    Under **Logo upload**, add a PNG or SVG of 5 MB or less. Set **Logo backdrop** to the colour behind it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a theme" icon="palette">
    Set **Theme** to **Predefined** and choose a **Color tint**, or choose **Custom** to set a **Header color** and **Action color** for light mode and dark mode separately.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the preview" icon="eye">
    The **Preview** shows the **Extension**, a **Notification**, and the **Alert banner** on the block page, in light or dark mode. Notifications follow each person's system light or dark setting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save" icon="check">
    Select **Save changes**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Once you set your own logo or colours, notifications no longer show the **Protected by Velatir** footer.

To go back to the default Velatir look, remove the logo and choose the **Neutral** tint, then save.

## Custom Messaging

Change the wording of the extension window, the panel people see when they select the Velatir icon in their browser. Pick a **Preview language** to edit the text for that language. Each message has **Reset to default**, and a preview shows the window as it will appear.

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Welcome message" icon="hand">
    Shown in the extension window until the person has entered an API token. Fields: **Heading**, **Message**, and **API token helper text**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Extension active window" icon="app-window">
    The window shown once the extension is set up. Fields: **Message**, **Link text**, and **Link**.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

The language shown follows the same rules as Localisation above.

### Character Limits

Each field shows how many characters are left. Text over the limit cannot be saved.

| Field | Limit |
| - | - |
| Heading | 120 characters |
| Message | 1,000 characters |
| API token helper text | 300 characters |
| Link text | 80 characters |

The block page's alert banner is written on your Gatekeeper configuration, with the same **Heading** and **Message** limits. See [Gatekeeper](/agents/gatekeeper).

## Notification Links

Add links that appear in the footer of every notification, for example your AI usage guidelines or company policies. Select **Add link**, then enter the **Link text** and the **URL (Link)**.
