What Is the Service Catalogue?
The service catalogue is Velatir’s inventory of over 4,000 AI services that it can detect and monitor. It gives you a full view of which AI services exist, which ones your organisation actually uses, and how they are categorised. You use the catalogue to understand the AI landscape within your organisation. It answers the question: “What AI services are my people using, and what do I need to know about them?”How Services Are Detected
Velatir detects AI services through two methods:Browser Detection
The Velatir browser extension identifies AI services accessed through web browsers. This covers web-based tools, SaaS platforms, and browser-based interfaces.
Application Detection
Velatir’s local detection agent identifies AI services running as desktop applications or integrated into local workflows.
Using the Catalogue
Browse or Search
Open the service catalogue and browse by category or search for a specific service by name.
Review Service Details
Select a service to view its category, detection method, EU sovereignty status, and usage statistics within your organisation.
Identify Usage Patterns
Filter the catalogue to show only services your organisation uses. Look for unapproved services, unexpected categories, or high-usage outliers.
Service Categories
The catalogue organises services into categories so you can quickly understand what types of AI your organisation relies on. Categories include areas like language models, image generation, code assistants, data analysis, and more. Filtering by category helps you answer targeted questions. For example, you can see all code assistant services in use or check whether any image generation tools have appeared.EU Sovereignty Information
For organisations with EU data residency requirements, the catalogue flags whether each service operates within EU infrastructure. This helps you quickly identify services that may pose data sovereignty concerns and take appropriate action.Insights Overview
